Disclaimer: This is under the fiction section so I expect that you know I made this whole thing up. I will try to insert Filipino in the fic but forgive me if the ‘art’ is lost as I have no talent in writing in Filipino.

Matcha was in her room pacing for the past 30 minutes waiting for PrincessChrome’s response to her text. She was past agitated the first 5 minutes of her not getting anything. And as she paced, she couldn’t help but talk to herself, aloud.

Maybe she didn’t get my text? Lecheng SUN!
Or maybe she’s asleep?
It’s the middle of the freaking day!
Nap?
Ano yun bata, may afternoon nap?
It’s been 30 minutes!
Siguro naman hindi bawal matulog?
You did just text “Hi.” Exactly what response do you expect?
I don’t know, something?
Maybe like, “How was your day?”
The day isn’t even done yet?

As if on cue, the radio played a song that made her stop and think more of PrincessChrome.

(She sort of mentioned that. That she was not looking for anything. Or maybe I added that to my memory because I've laready romantacized the whole thing in my head?)

But now that I get you
I know fear is what it really was
(Yeah, definitely. I get how scary love is. And like, I would never hurt her.)

(Bakit kasi hindi na lang mag text back.)

Haven't I passed the test?

[This part she sang loudly after quickly googling the lyrics to the song. Brush in hand, standing on her bed, at the top of her lungs, she performed as if it was her very own concert.]

Matcha bit her lips imagining how that would feel, their lips together. Her cheeks turned red without her realizing.

After the song, Matcha's voice was a little bit hoarse and she was a little bit tired from all that singing and weird motion that was her version of dancing. Sort of. She then noticed that her phone's light was on. The excitement at the thought of PrincessChrome's text back shot through her so fast and she almost smiled until she realized that she accidentally called her from all her jumping and moving around. She was hoping that PrincessChrome did not answer.

"Hello?"

"Matcha? Was that you singing?"

"Uh..." *facepalm*
